Nikon or Canon Digital SLR

Posted by Touch Zone

The Nikon D60 is a 10.2 mega pixel Nikon-mount SLR that was announced in January 2008. The D60 succeeds the entry-level Nikon D40x

The Nikon D60 body is pretty much the same as the Nikon D40 with the placement of a few key buttons being the most only noticeable difference. Just as the D40, the D60 does not have a display on top of the body; it displays all the relative information on the main LCD screen instead.

The problem with cameras is they upgrade so quickly, so quickly a camera purchased today can be old by the time you have got the hang of it in just a few months.

Places to check out the latest cameras has to be, Jessops, Jacobs and Camera Base, it may be worth checking out other places such as, Currys, Comet and Dixons.

Canon SLRS are certainly worth a look at, I would say it is a toss up between the two, both pretty good cameras, and they have proved themselves over the years.

In need of a new Laptop or Netbook / Ultrabook

by Jon Touch Zone

My laptop running on Vista keeps crashing, I have cleaned it a number of times but it is still just as slow. My laptop is a good few years old, so I think I am in need of an upgrade. With that in mind what would I upgrade to? I suppose I need to pay a visit to my local electrical stores, and see what is available.

The laptop deals from PC World offers a reasonable amount of choice, so with that in mind I think my first point of call will be PC World. There are both Comet and Currys superstores, within walking distance of each other, I will also pop and check out what they have available.

Whether you’re looking for a new laptop or a refurbished one, it’s worth shopping about, as there are some great deals about.

Some of the leading brands I will be looking at will be Toshiba, Sony, Packard Bell and Acer.

If you’re on the move and need to stay online and in touch as you travel, an ultrabook may be a better choice, as they are more compact, lighter and provide longer battery life.

iphone 4s mobile

by Touch Zone

I have owned the iphone 4s for a short while now, and it has been a great little phone. The iphone records video in 1080p HD and, the video quality is very good.

The iPhone 4S camera has been completely redesigned on the inside, so everything you shoot does look pretty good. The advanced backside illumination sensor and larger aperture lets more light in, and the improved auto white balance gives greater colour. Temporal noise reduction seems to help take nicer videos when the light is not so good.

Ok so what is it like making phone calls? I would say pretty much as good as any other phone, you may get a slight problem with the speaker coming on, this I find happens when your ear touches the touch screen, something to watch out for.

But all in all a great little phone, check out Apples website for more details, you may find a bargain on ebay. But good phones get snapped up pretty quickly.
